The romantic apartment is a beautifully and
stylish renovated 'grotto' furnished with all modern comfort including
air-conditioning.
It is located near the church San Giorgio, in a quiet pedestrian
area at Modica Alta. To reach the apartment, just park the car along
the street "Corso San Giorgio" and walk up the set of
steps of via Tantillo, a short but a little steep path, which might
be a bit uneasy for people with physical problems. The entrance
gate takes you to the sun-drenched terrace with a panoramic view
on the city. From the terrace you enter the large, charming room,
with old floors and face exposed stone barrel vaulted ceiling, where
there is the built in kitchen, the dining area and two single sofa-beds.
At the rear side of the room there is a niche with sliding curtains
and a double bed. Also the bathroom (with shower box and laundry
machine) is of particular charm, being part of a natural stone cave
and paved with ancient stone slabs.
The apartment has been renovated finely and furnished with taste,
on its living area of 40 sqm it can accommodate up to four persons.
